Leave a space or delete your account
Leaving ends one membership, deleting ends your whole profile. Both are blocked for a sole owner.
These are two different things. Leave … removes you from exactly one space. Your account stays, other spaces stay, and you can rejoin later. Delete account affects your whole profile at Selfdesk.
Leaving a space
- Open Settings from your profile. At the very bottom is the Account section, in the app and on the web. As an operator you also find the entry on the web under Space in the settings.
- Tap Leave …. The dots stand for the name of your space.

The rows for leaving the space and deleting the account - Confirm the prompt. A running contract in this space ends the same day, and your upcoming bookings there are cancelled.
Deleting your account
- Open Settings from your profile and tap Delete account in the Account section. This works in the app and on the web.
- Two prompts follow: first what happens, then whether you really mean it. Only the second one deletes.
- In the browser it also works without signing in, on the page /account-deletion. You enter your email address and receive a confirmation link. Only the click on that link files the request.
What applies here
- The sole owner of a space cannot leave it. You get You own this space. Delete the space first, or write to us at hilfe@selfdesk.app if someone else should take it over.
- You cannot leave your last space. You get You need to belong to at least one space.
- Account deletion is blocked as well while you are the sole owner anywhere. See Account deletion is blocked.
- The confirmation by email exists only when you delete without signing in. It proves the request really comes from you.
- On deletion, running contracts end at the end of the current month and access is revoked immediately. See When a member deletes their account.
- Invoices are kept for eight years. See What is stored, and for how long.
