In detail
- A price per room, discount and free hours per plan

- Guests book without an account, within your guest hours

Day tickets for guestsBooking on your website

- Ends at the booking window
- Taken dates are skipped, never overbooked

For your members: One scan, done. Fixed desks skip it.
Scan the QR code on a deskBook or check in for someone
Someone calls, you do it on your phone.
In detail
- Create a booking for a member
- Check someone in by hand
- Add days after the fact
What it means

In detail
- Bookings and cancellations, a series as one entry
- Kiosk purchases, undoable in the app for 60 seconds
- Door attempts, including the failed ones
- Contract, invoices, payments, credit
What it means
For you: The list answers "when was that charged?", not you.
For your members: Sees only their own entries, filtered by area. New ones show up as a hint at the top; the list does not jump.
See your recent activityUnlock and lock the door
Through Nuki smart locks, both ways.
In detail
- Open and lock
- No surcharge per door
- The lock button only appears when the door is open
What it means
For you: No key board, no handover, no keys being copied.
For your members: Opens from the start screen without hunting through the app.
Check in and unlock doorsWho may enter, and when
Access belongs to the contract, not to a key.

In detail
- After 30 days the name is removed; door, time and outcome stay without a person
- Not meant as attendance tracking
What it means
For you: Enough to settle an incident, too little to watch anyone.
For your members: The retention period is in the space's privacy notice.
Door log: 30 days, not an attendance recordBuy coffee, water, a snack
Tap, done. Paid at the end of the month.
In detail
- One tap per purchase
- The tab runs until month end
- Receipt in the app
What it means
For you: No till, no tally sheet, no cash.
For your members: Buys without a wallet and sees the tab at any time.
Using the kioskManage products
Your products, your gross price, your VAT rate.
In detail
- Price and VAT rate per product
- Counter sales by you
- Its own invoice each month
What it means
For you: One invoice can carry several VAT rates. Kiosk is billed separately from rent, because a member deducts the rent as a business expense and the snacks not.
For your members: Gets the kiosk receipt as its own document.
Add products and change pricesPay the tab
Settle early if you want to.
In detail
- Payable at any time
- Remainders under €0.50 move to the next month
What it means
For you: Small amounts do not produce a 30-cent invoice.
For your members: Can pay whenever they like, but does not have to.
Instant payment, receipt and monthly invoiceBuild your plans
Fixed, flexible with an allowance, day ticket.
In detail
- An allowance with a price per extra day
- A fixed desk as part of the plan
- Order and visibility
- Gross prices; the VAT rate belongs to the space
What it means
For you: 19 %, 7 %, or none at all under the small-business rule — nowhere hard-wired.
For your members: Sees prices exactly as they appear on the invoice.
Create a planCredit and ten-visit cards
For everyone who does not want to pay monthly.
In detail
- A card holding days or an amount
- The expiry date is shown before the purchase
- A reminder before it runs out
What it means
For you: Card holders are the core business at many spaces, not a footnote.
For your members: Sees a date as a date, not as “valid for 30 days”.
Create a credit cardAdd-ons per contract
A locker, a postal address, a parking space.
In detail
- Monthly or one-off
- Per member
- Runs through the normal invoice
What it means
For you: No second contract and no invoice written by hand.
For your members: Sees the item on the same invoice.
Create an add-onCompany customers
Several employees of one company, one base fee, one invoice.
In detail
- Each person keeps their own contract and access
- One shared allowance for all seats
- The invoice goes to the company's billing contact
- One plan for all seats, without a fixed desk
What it means
For you: The company gets one invoice; access and bookings still stay per person.
For your members: Sees how many days are left in the shared pool, but no amounts and none of their colleagues' bookings.
Set up a company accountAn individual price
One member pays something other than the plan says.
In detail
- The price sits on the member, not on the plan
- Derived from the plan they hold
- Everyone else keeps their price
What it means
For you: The friend's rate for your first tenant, without creating a shadow plan.
For your members: Notices nothing but the amount.
Prices come from the planChange and plan prices
A price applies from a billing month, retroactively or in the future.
In detail
- Correct a typo, for past months too, without anyone having to agree
- New prices from a future month, the old one applies until then
- Per change for everyone, for everyone who agrees, or for new members only
- Before saving, it says what stays billed and what is recalculated
- Change or withdraw planned prices until their month has started
What it means
For you: You correct a price on the plan itself, without a second plan and without moving anyone.
For your members: Sees an announced price with its date before it applies.

What applied in which month and who entered it when.
In detail

Connect StripeBank transfer instead of collection
Invoices as always, just without a charge.
In detail
- Switched on per space, alone or next to card and direct debit
- If you offer both, the member chooses
- No paid mark and no marking as paid by hand
- The kiosk is still charged
What it means
For you: You match the incoming payments on your account yourselves. Selfdesk does not see them.
For your members: Transfers the rent after the invoice. The kiosk still needs a card or direct debit.
Switch to bank transferOpen items

Delete your accountWhat Selfdesk cannot do
So you know before the trial, not after. If you need any of it, tell us.
Lock systems other than Nuki
Salto, Tapkey, Kiwi, chip and fob systems are not connected.
Selfdesk opens the door only through a Nuki Smart Lock. If you have another system, it keeps running next to Selfdesk, and you manage access there.
DATEV and other bookkeeping tools
Lexware Office is connected, nothing else.
For everything else there is the accountant export, each month the invoices and kiosk receipts as PDF and a list as CSV. Selfdesk does not produce a DATEV booking batch.
One contract for several locations
A contract applies in one space.
Several spaces side by side work, each with its own plans and billing, and a member uses one account for all of them. A pass that is valid at several locations does not exist.
Hourly and half-day prices for desks
Desks are priced per day or in a monthly plan.
You cannot set a price per hour or per half day for desks. Rooms have a price per hour.
Day rate for rooms
Rooms are priced per hour.
A price for the whole day or a daily cap does not exist. Catering and equipment per person run through a room's extras.
Guests paying by invoice
Guests without an account pay by card when they book.
A guest who books a room or a day ticket pays by card right away and gets the receipt by email, with company name and address on request. Paying later by bank transfer is not possible for guests.
Minimum terms and notice periods
Contracts end at the end of the month, without notice.
A minimum term or a longer notice period cannot be set. A temporary special price with an end date exists, but it binds no one.
Showing net prices
Prices are shown gross, with the net amount small next to them.
There is no switch that shows net prices as the main figure, for company customers for example.
Calendar sync
Booking confirmations come with a calendar entry.
A calendar to subscribe to or a sync with Google or Outlook does not exist, in either direction.
Events, chat and noticeboard
Not part of Selfdesk.
Events with registration or ticket sales cannot be created, and Selfdesk has no chat or noticeboard for your members.
Kiosk in the browser
Buying works only in the app.
You manage products on the web. Members buy and pay their tab on their phone, not in the browser.
Door access only during the booked time
Yes for guests, not for members.
Guests open the door only during their booked time and a quarter of an hour before and after. Members open the doors you grant them at any time, on days without a booking too.
Allowance per week
Plans count days per month.
A plan can include a number of days per month, but not per week, such as two days a week.
Offices as a rental of their own
Selfdesk knows desks, areas and rooms, but not offices.
An office someone rents by the month is set up as a plan, for example with a fixed desk, and you give access to the office door. An office lease with a term, notice period or service charges cannot be set up.
Data processing agreement to download
Not available here as a document.
The servers are in Germany, at Hetzner in Nuremberg. A data processing agreement (DPA) cannot be downloaded on this site.
Guest booking in English
Guests without an account book in German.
The booking form, emails and receipt for guests without an account exist in German only, for rooms and day tickets alike. Members switch their app to English.
